This one goes out to the small business owners, the aspiring entrepreneurs, the visionaries, the go-getters!

Is that you? Okay, good.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and consider this your daily dose of encouragement from your village over at The Square.

Your work matters.

First of all, we want to tell you that the work you are passionate about and doing matters. We know it’s no cakewalk being an entrepreneur and this journey can be filled with many emotions—sometimes you can experience all the emotions within the same day (true story).

The truth is, you’d be hard pressed to find an entrepreneur that hasn’t experienced those “dark night of the soul” moments. The times when you’re scratching your head and asking yourself, “Why am I doing this, and is it really worth it?” It seems to be part of the business owner start up package. But, it’s in these moments, that you must remember your purpose, your “Why” and fight forward!

Take a deep breath. Realign your thoughts and know that, YES, it’s worth it!

Surround yourself with people of like values.

One significant key we’ve found is to surround yourself with a diverse team of people whose values align with your values. These people do not have to look the same or act the same as you, but their values should overlap with your values. A good leader is always learning, growing, and moving forward. The relationships and people we surround ourselves with have a huge impact in this growing/learning process. These people are your village!

We too, hope to be a part of your village of people bringing encouragement and value along your journey.
