Join us on the outside patio of the School House for a summer read-aloud and a fun activity led by Mrs. Shanon Reuter and Dr. Heidi Hickman. They will be here every Thursday from 10 am to 10:45am. So, parents and caregivers, please feel free to drop your child/children off and head inside The Village Brew Coffee House to enjoy some self-care, yummy treats, and special drinks!

Reading aloud is not only fun but very beneficial to your littles. Here are some fun facts about reading aloud:

Reading aloud to children has clear cognitive benefits. For example, brain scans show that hearing stories strengthens the part of the brain associated with visual imagery, story comprehension, and word meaning. Reading also strengthens children’s social, emotional, and character development. For example, according to a recently published study, reading aloud to young children is linked to decreased levels of aggression, hyperactivity, and attention difficulties.

Cheers to a summer activity you can feel really good about! Hope to see you this Thursday at 10 am.
